Dhal puri is not the national food of mauritius I though it was rougai but then as we have several cultures we can all give our dishes it's own national food for me it's rougai I want some dhal puri

I'm from Trinidad in the Caribbean and we call this Dhal Puri, we make it larger and we put a variety of different meats or veggies in the center, that is our national dish...

lol.. thoz comments are hilarious.. it's true that most people on this island have an identity crisis, because they hail from different parts of the world. But i've been to india and frankly i can't relate to Indian people at all.. they have another culture, way of life and mindset.. The only thing we share in common is the religion. Mauritians have their own unique identity and culture.. peace
